Garrett Otto, a cherished soul whose vibrancy illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know him, passed away on the 8th of October, 2022, at the tender age of 19. Born on May 1, 2003, in Layton, Utah, Garrett blossomed into a young man of remarkable character and boundless potential, familiar to all as a source of joy and love.
Garrett's educational journey culminated in a Master of Business degree, a testament to his unwavering determination and intellect. He carved out a path in the world of entrepreneurship, establishing his company from the ground up, a feat that speaks volumes of his ambition and meticulous work ethic. His professional endeavors were not merely a means of livelihood; they were an extension of his vibrant spirit and desire to contribute positively to the world around him.
Beyond his academic and professional accomplishments, it was in the simple joys of life that Garrett found his deepest moments of happiness. Memories of kayaking at the lake echo with laughter, encapsulating a spirit that sought adventure and cherished the natural beauty around him.
Garrett's personality shone brightly, infused with a joyous energy that could uplift any room. He was not only a beloved brother to Sarah Johnson and a devoted brother-in-law to Tom Johnson, but also a treasured friend to Rachel Lee. The bonds he forged with these individuals remain a testament to his loving nature.
In addition to his many achievements and connections, Garrett exhibited a commendable commitment to service, proudly earning the esteemed Purple Heart for his military service. In celebration of Garrett's remarkable life, a series of services will be held to honor his memory. A viewing will take place on February 4, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM at Test, located in Ogden, Utah. Following this, friends and family are invited to gather for the Funeral Service on October 23, 2025, at Sonzini 2, commencing at 12:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow on December 5, 2025, at the same venue, starting at 10:00 AM. Additionally, a visitation will occur on February 11, 2026, at Sonzini 2, from 8:04 PM to 9:04 PM.
Garrett Otto's spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved him, eternally reminding us of the importance of joy, love, and living life to its fullest.
