Marissa Gracie Riche, a dedicated individual who touched the lives of many, passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 20. Born on October 7, 2025, her life, although brief, was filled with remarkable achievements and cherished moments.
Marissa earned her Master's degree in Business Administration from XYZ University, where she distinguished herself as a diligent scholar, receiving the Outstanding Academic Achievement award in 2010. Her passion for education and commitment to excellence stood as a testament to her character.
Her service to the country was commendable; Marissa served in the United States Army for 20 years, rising to the rank of Colonel. Her bravery in combat during the Gulf War was recognized through prestigious honors such as the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, reflecting her unwavering courage and dedication to her country.
Marissa will be remembered for the warmth she brought to her family. She had a special love for spending time with them, especially during the holidays, where her famous apple pie became a beloved tradition every Thanksgiving. The memories she created with her loved ones will forever hold a cherished place in their hearts.
She is survived by her sister, Sarah Johnson; brother-in-law, Tom Johnson; and close friend, Rachel Lee. Marissa was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Smith; father, John Smith Sr.; and her brother, James Smith.
