It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Marissa Gracie Riche, who left us on November 10, 2025, just days after celebrating her 10th birthday. Born on October 29, 2025, Marissa brought joy and love to all who knew her.

Marissa had a profound appreciation for family, especially during the cherished holiday season. Her love was evident as she devoted her time to crafting her famous apple pie each Thanksgiving, a tradition that brought smiles and warmth to family gatherings.

Her academic journey was remarkable, as she earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from XYZ University, where she distinguished herself by receiving the Outstanding Academic Achievement award in 2010. Marissa's dedication to her studies was a reflection of her strong will and determination, characteristics that defined her vibrant personality.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Marissa served her country honorably in the United States Army for 20 years, achieving the rank of Colonel. She demonstrated exceptional bravery during her service in the Gulf War, where she was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for her courageous actions.

Marissa also had a passionate hobby; she enjoyed collecting rare books. Many hours were spent exploring bookstores and auctions in search of new additions to her treasured collection, showcasing her love for literature and history.

Marissa leaves behind her loving sister, Sarah Johnson, and brother-in-law, Tom Johnson. She also treasured her friendship with Rachel Lee, who will remember her as a bright light in their lives.

Marissa is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Susan Smith; her father, John Smith Sr.; and her brother, James Smith, who welcomed her with open arms in a reunion that brings comfort to all who mourn her absence.

Her legacy of love, bravery, and intellect will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Marissa Gracie Riche will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
