Marissa Gracie Riche, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on November 11, 2025, at the tender age of 0. Born on October 30, 2025, Marissa was a bright light in the lives of those who had the privilege to know her. Her journey, though brief, was filled with love, passion, and exceptional achievements.

Marissa's academic pursuits were commendable; she earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from XYZ University, where she distinguished herself as a dedicated student. In 2010, she was honored with the Outstanding Academic Achievement award, a testament to her hard work and determination.

Beyond her academic excellence, Marissa dedicated two decades of her life to serve in the United States Army, where she achieved the rank of Colonel. Her bravery and commitment during her service in the Gulf War were recognized with the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Marissa exemplified the values of courage and sacrifice, serving her country with an unwavering spirit.

Marissa cherished time spent with family, especially during the holidays, where her famous apple pie became a cherished tradition. These moments created lasting memories that will be forever treasured. She had a profound love for literature and enjoyed collecting rare books, often spending hours scouring bookstores and auctions, adding unique treasures to her collection.

She is survived by her loving sister, Sarah Johnson, and brother-in-law, Tom Johnson. Additionally, Marissa's close friend, Rachel Lee, will carry her spirit forward in her heart. Marissa was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Smith; her father, John Smith Sr.; and her brother, James Smith.
