Marissa Gracie Riche, born on October 30, 2025, tragically passed on November 11, 2025. Though her time with us was brief, her impact on those around her will resonate deeply for years to come.

Marissa was a person of remarkable dedication and achievement. She earned her Master's degree in Business Administration from XYZ University, where her hard work and commitment were recognized with the Outstanding Academic Achievement award in 2010. A driven individual, she exemplified the pursuit of excellence in all her endeavors.

In addition to her academic achievements, Marissa dedicated twenty years of her life to serving in the United States Army. Rising to the rank of Colonel, she displayed exceptional bravery and received both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for her courageous actions during the Gulf War. Her commitment to her country and her fellow servicemen and women was unwavering, and she was deeply respected by all who served with her.

Outside of her professional and military accomplishments, Marissa cherished her time spent with family, particularly during the holidays, creating lasting memories through her loving presence. Each Thanksgiving was highlighted by her famous apple pie, a delicious touch that brought joy to her family gatherings.

Marissa had a passion for collecting rare books, finding solace in the written word as she devoted hours to scouring bookstores and auctions for treasures to add to her beloved collection. This hobby reflected her inquisitive nature and love of history.

She is survived by her loving sister Sarah Johnson and her brother-in-law Tom Johnson, as well as her close friend Rachel Lee, all of whom will carry forward Marissa's spirit and memory. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Smith; father, John Smith Sr.; and brother, James Smith.

Marissa Gracie Riche will be remembered for her courage, intellect, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her legacy will undoubtedly inspire many to follow in her footsteps, striving for excellence and cherishing the bonds of family and friendship.
