Peyton Ryan Cragun

Peyton Ryan Cragun, born on April 25, 2003, in Ogden, passed away on July 8, 2025, leaving a legacy of compassion and dedication that will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. He was the cherished son of Susan Smith and John Smith Sr., and the beloved brother of James Smith, all of whom predeceased him.

Peyton was deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of others. His most proud accomplishment was his regular volunteer work at a local homeless shelter, where he dedicated his time and energy to provide meals and support to those in need. His unwavering commitment to service earned him the esteemed Volunteer of the Year award, highlighting his impact on the community and his selfless nature.

He is survived by his loving sister, Sarah Johnson, and brother-in-law, Tom Johnson, as well as close friend, Rachel Lee. These individuals, along with many others, were touched by his kindness and positivity and will carry his memory forward in their hearts.

Peyton's warmth and genuine spirit will be sorely missed, but his contributions to the community and the lives he touched will resonate far beyond his years.
