John Doe Doe, born on January 1, 2000, passed away on January 24, 2023. He lived a life full of warmth and passion, making an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.

John was not only a dedicated basketball coach at Brigham Young University, but he was also a beloved figure in his community. His kindness and welcoming spirit made everyone feel at ease, and his great sense of humor left a lasting impression on friends and players alike. John instilled values of teamwork and perseverance in his athletes, fostering an environment of support and encouragement that extended far beyond the court.

His journey through life was also marked by admirable service in the United States Army. Over two decades, John rose to the rank of Colonel and displayed remarkable bravery during the Gulf War, earning the prestigious Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his courageous actions. His military service shaped his character, teaching him resilience and camaraderie, which he carried into every aspect of his life.

John’s love for sports was not simply a career; it was a lifelong passion. He cherished the excitement of the game and the connections forged through shared experiences. As a brother, a friend, and a mentor, he brought joy and inspiration to countless individuals.

He is survived by his sister, Sarah Johnson, his brother-in-law, Tom Johnson, and his close friend, Rachel Lee. Their lives have been forever enriched by the memories shared with John—the laughter, the lessons, and the love.

A funeral service will be held a LDS Church in Layton, Utah on March 1st 2025 at 9am.

John Doe Doe's legacy of kindness, humor, and dedication to both his family and community will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered through the many lives he touched.
